BoN hails Tinubu, security agencies over rescue of abducted Oyo pupils, teacher

BoN hails Tinubu

The Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BoN) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the nation’s security agencies for the successful rescue of schoolchildren and a teacher who were abducted in Oriire local government area of Oyo State.

In a statement issued yesterday by its Executive Secretary, BoN described the rescue operation as a major success and praised the country’s security architecture for demonstrating a high level of operational competence in securing the victims’ freedom.

The organisation lauded the courage, professionalism and dedication of the personnel involved in the operation, noting that their efforts underscore the growing effectiveness of coordinated security operations in tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities.

BoN also congratulated President Tinubu for what it described as his exemplary political will in supporting security operations across the country. It further commended Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and the people of the state for their cooperation with security agencies, which it said contributed significantly to the successful outcome of the rescue mission.

The broadcasting body urged the leadership of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies to sustain the strong inter-agency collaboration that made the operation possible.

While celebrating the successful rescue, BoN expressed hope that similar efforts would lead to the freedom of other victims still being held captive by kidnappers, particularly children in Borno and other northern states.

The organisation prayed for the safe rescue and reunification of all kidnapped persons with their families and communities, while reaffirming its support for continued efforts to strengthen security and protect Nigerians across the country.
